Kelly Rowland is headed to the small screen and back to the studio (we suspect). Get the deets on her new deal with BET inside and meet the new creative directors of DKNY.
A few days ago, we told you about Kelly Rowland landing her own BET series. In fact, Kelly appeared alongside Stephen Hill at the 2015 BET Upfronts a few days ago to discuss “Chasing Destiny”, a new reality show.
As host of “Chasing Destiny,” baby Titan's mom will search for the hottest and most talented up-and-coming singers....giving “X Factor” and "The Voice" a run for their money. But that's not all Kelly is up to...
While Kelly has kept mum about her own recording schedule, sources close to the "Like This" singer say she's already hit the studio with producers Polow Da Don and Mike WiLL Made It for what will be her fifth studio album:
With that being said @KellyRowland's New Album is going to be nothing short of amazing!pic.twitter.com/p06ZH0QeuZ

While we don't have any of deets about #KellyV, it would be VERY smart of Kels to release an album around the same time that the show debuts. Promotion promotion promotion!
So......we'll be expecting new music from Kelly in the fall of 2015 right? Right.
In the fashion world....
DKNY (the younger, hipper side of Donna Karan) announced two new creative directors, this week, and one of them is YBF!
The new CDs are CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (and CFDA menswear award)–winning Public School designers Dao-Yi Chow (far right) and Maxwell Osborne (far left) - shown above with TODAY contribute Jill Martin.
The new appointment doesn't mean Dao-Yi and Maxwell are leaving their other job. They'll still work at Public School while leading DKNY. In a joint statement, the two said,
“We both grew up in New York, and DKNY has always been part of the landscape of this city,” they wrote in a statement. “It is one of the brands that helped change the game for us and for American fashion. It evokes everything our city was always about—energy, disruption, new thinking, and transcending all boundaries. We are extremely proud and excited to be joining the company and to contribute to the next chapter of DKNY, one of the most iconic American brands created by Donna Karan, a true inspiration.”
Congrats to Maxwell and Dao-Yi!
