Raven Symone will be guest-starring on the funny hit series “black•ish” in a role that doesn’t steer too far from her real life. Also, New Edition may be getting their own biopic, but the people behind the project need a little help from NE fans. Get the latest inside….
Raven Symone is continuing her acting comeback! After her surprise guest-starring role on “Empire” (abandoning the daughter she seceretly shares with Jamal Lyon), Raven Symone will be hitting the small screen again soon.
For her newest gig, the Academy of Art University student will be starring on the hilarious ABC series “black•ish.” She will star as Dre’s (Anthony Anderson) gay sister Rhonda who, according to Entertainment Weekly, is just as uncomfortable talking about her sexuality as her brother. As you know by now, Raven is apart of the LGBT community, so this role isn't be too far of a stretch.
In the upcoming episode, Dre and Rhonda will be battling for the top spot in their mother’s (Jennifer Lewis) rankings in a “playful rivalry.” Although Dre and Rhonda are super close, there’s some uneasiness when it comes to her discussing her sexuality.
Raven is expected to appear in an episode titled "Please Don't Ask, Please Don't Tell” later this season. Nice seeing her back on the acting scene.
“black•ish” airs on Wednesdays at 9:30 PM ET on ABC.
