Growing up in the entertainment business certainly isn?t easy, and Vanessa Marano shared her experience as an early-blooming starlet in the October 2014 issue of Seventeen magazine.
The ?Switched at Birth? actress chimed in for The Seventeen Body Peace Project, noting that her first bra-buying experience was nothing short of terrifying.
Vanessa explained, ?I was 11 when I first got boobs and I was in denial ? none of my friends had them yet, so I didn?t want them either! But my mom dragged me to the mall for a bra fitting. Having a stranger wrap a tape measure around my breasts was humiliating.?
After that, she found that her lady parts had a tendency for attracting unwanted attention- ?The worst thing anybody ever said come from a crew member on the set of a show I was working on. My character?s costume was in a white button-down and a plaid skirt. I was still only 14, but because of my curves I looked older.?
?This guy stared at me and said I looked like a ?schoolgirl fantasy.? Something in me snapped. I was so sick of hearing about my chest ? I?m more than just my boobs! So I turned to him and said, ?So where?s your white windowless van, because you look like a creep.? He was stunned and it was so satisfying to confront him so that he felt awkward instead of me!?
